Cais das Colunas is situated in Commerce Square – Praça do Comércio. “Cais” means “dock/pier” and “colunas” means “columns” or “Columns Wharf”

It used to be the main entrance in Lisbon for centuries. Nowadays, it is a scenic spot where tourists and city folks spend some leisure time while gazing at the Tagus River.
