Inaugurated on 10 July 1902, it is the only street lift in Lisbon for public service. It was built by the architect Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard in cast iron enriched with filigrana details. It is the most visited one in the city. On 2002 it was classified as National Monument.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/lisbonstopover.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/bica-elevator_155843.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-114\" src=\"http:\/\/lisbonstopover.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/bica-elevator_155843-220x300.jpg\" alt=\"bica-elevator_155843\" width=\"220\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bica Funicular,\u00a0Rua de S\u00e3o Paulo (Rua Duarte Belo) &#8211; Largo de Calhariz.\u00a0This funicular was inaugurated on 28 June 1892 and its route is known as the most typical of the city. In 2002 it was classified a National Monument. Ticket price is \u20ac3.50 for a round trip, however day cards are valid for it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/lisbonstopover.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/elevador-da-lavra-ii.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-115\" src=\"http:\/\/lisbonstopover.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/elevador-da-lavra-ii-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"elevador-da-lavra-ii\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lavra Funicular,\u00a0Largo da Anunciada &#8211; Travessa Forno Torel.\u00a0The oldest funicular of Lisbon was inaugurated on 19 April 1884 and on that day it worked for 16 consecutive hours, carrying more than 3,000 passengers free.
